Plasti dipped "in situ"

Featured Replies

I painted my chrome grill surround about a year ago but after about 6 months I got stone chips on it. I think a home paint job is not very resilliant to stone chips.

Anyway so I painted it again about 6 months ago but here I am agian with a bunch more stone chips. So decided I needed a better solution without going back to chrome.

After seeing a few reviews on Plasti Dip decided to give it a go but unfortunately when removing the grill I stripped 2 of the torx screws

This lead me to try doing the job "in situ", here are the results. Quite happy really so long as the stone chips stay away!

Looks great! Can't really go wrong with plastidip. Should give you good protection against further stone chips too.

I've just ordered two cans in black so i'll be experimenting around the house and car very soon!
