I have a 58-plate Ibiza with the above engine rapidly approaching 40,000 miles.

My question is should I have the cambelt changed now as dealers are recommending, or leave it until 4-years/ 60,000 miles as specified in the handbook?

What are Fabia owners with the same engine doing? Not many owners on the SEAT forums have reached cambelt change age yet so thought I might get a better response on here

You should be fine if you're getting rid of it before then.

If it gets near october then it might be worth doing if you're selling privately.

If your p/xing it in don't bother/
