Fabia estate vrs

Featured Replies

Hi all, new here and just after some info on the vrs estate, I'm looking for a new car and the estate is a good candidate. Im after general info really, avg mpg, skoda customer service, just everything as a whole as I do really like them! Also after info on how people rate the car as a whole as well, eg fun to drive etc etc.

Any answers are greatly appreciated.

Many thanks, Lewis.

Hi. The easiest thing to do is just browse the forum. Most of what you asked has been extensively covered. Plus you will learn a bunch of other stuff too. Win win.

Welcome by the way :)

Welcome from me also..

One possibly important point is, dont expect much economy on the fuel front.

35 mpg or so, 42 going a bit easier & 25 mpg when having fun, & in short from cold journeys where the engine is never getting warmed up to running temp before stopping,

all approx obviously & according to the driver and other factors like load carried & A/C on or not.

2nd & an important point is you will most likely be able to have fun quite a lot,

so back to the first point.

Thanks for replys, what's the room like in the back is there plenty there or? Also what's benefits from having sat nav? (apart from obvious)

The sat nav makes the interior about 100x nicer, adds a touch off class that it lacks and climate control makes it look nicer aswell

Plus with the satnav you get handsfree for your phone and such :)

Room up front and in the back is good - better than the MK1 vRS I used to have.

Boot space is cavernous - more than the BMW 3 series Touring!

Its fairly economical for what is in offer, not many other petrol hot hatchbacks with 180bhp can give 45 + mpg. Granted it'll do mid-late 30's most of the time but I have seen 48 mpg calcualted on a tank :)

Loads of space in the back, I can fit my road bike in whole. Did 40mpg to and from Castle Combe and 13mpg on track :giggle: Handled ok but there was roll at higher speeds on bends but predictable, brakes were fine too. Unless you drive like a moron on the road you shouldn't come that close to the limit and even when you do it's predictable. Didn't realise how high the limits were until I took it to Combe.

The biggest question you have to answer is DSG for you? Took me a while to get the most out of it but when I did I loved it. See if you can get an extended test drive.

10month + wait for a new so I hope you can wait.

boot space more than honda accord estate and same or bigger than many cars in the same class or larger, Plus good practical shape, tall body means it can fit cargo other lower roof lined cars can't.

ThAnks for the info gents much appreciated! Think best I go and look at one! I'm impatient so wouldn't be a new one at a 10+month wait but I have found 2 61 plates I'm looking at, one with sat nav one without.
