Anybody still home process 35mm B&W ?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I was looking for something or other in the wardrobe last night and I discovered a long lost treasure and former hobby of mine.

Canon A1 SLR body

Canon 50mm f1.4

Canon 35-70mm f4.0

Canon 70-210mm f4.0

Auto winder

Sunpack 3600 flash and accessories

Assorted bits & pieces

Durst F30 Enlarger and 2 lenses

Paterson complete B&W starter bundle

Film developer tank, easel, exposure meter, trays, tongs, squeegee, micro-scope thingy, etc etc etc.

Red lights

My film and photo stock is ancient and I don't think it's viable.

Also found a nice mail order site to get darkroom supplies from:

http://www.firstcall-photographic.co.uk/

and there's always Jessops.

I might just get back into some 35mm photography and processing !

The camera body needs some attention, I get some shutter squeal,

There are some youtube clips on how to sort this.

It's amazing how worthless all the above kit is today !

I won't ebay it, I'll keep it.

Wow! :-) I hope you do get back into home processing. That's a very comprehensive list of equipment you have rediscovered. Lots of skills to keep alive. I do a little bit of B&W photography but do not have the time or patience to do my own developing and printing.

Yeah, I have a darkroom set up that I started last year. Fun but lengthy, especially while learning lol! Nice find anyway!

I need to get mine back up and running once ive finished uni in a couple of weeks :)
