Help needed with MAP sensor fault

I've looked and looked and can't find the answers I need.

The fault I have is;

Now some may say its the turbo vanes clogged up, but I've had the turbo off, stripped it, cleaned it and made sure it was working OK and even tried another known good turbo but still have the problem.

I've also replaced/swapped the follwing;

actuator

vac pipe to actuator

map sensor

maf sensor

vacuum solenoid control box

The fault comes up even when the car is not running and will not clear which makes me think that its a wiring loom fault. I did check the loom about 12 inches up when I changed the map but was all OK.

If anyone knows of anything I haven't checked please say as this problem has nearly finished me off!

Thats not what I want to hear!

I better get a new blade in my stanley

Open/short to ground normally indicates wiring :(

Had the same with my MAF sensor.

Is there a common area where the wiring fails?

I'm going to get some fresh wires in the plug to rule that out.

There are no intermediate connectors. Check the Lilac/Red and Black/Yellow wires. They end up at pins 31 and 71 of the ECU.

Thats just the info I need, dont suppose you know where the other 2 go to while I'm at it?

The other two are for the temp sensor (G72). They go to pins 52 and 73.

Fixed It!

Turns out it was the wiring.

The previous owner fitted a strut brace and ran the loom on the wrong side of it. It was running under the vacuum control solenoid mounting bracket instead of round the strut turret. Over the years it has slowly sliced through and earthed out the black and yellow wire from the map sensor.

I'm now very very happy but also a little annoyed that I didn't ask on here first!

I've now got the same type of problem on my NSF abs sensor, no rest for the wicked!

I was hoping someone could help me ive got a code in my computer that wont delete it says, manifold pressure sensor short with power G71 p1155 intermittent.

Manifold pressure sensor power supply p1157 intermittent.

Ive changed boost sensor,air flow metre,re wired were i found a broken wire for map sensor with plug an wiring from tps. Use to get power back after pump staring it while driving but since re wiring an changing map sensor just constantly stays in limp mode. Also changed black vaccum solenoid box too.
