Flyeye headlight tint testimonial.

Featured Replies

I just applied some of this tint to my headlights, front badge, interior light and interior hazard light button. I know I went a bit overboard with it but this stuff is the dogs danglys! it's amazingly easy to apply and I did all this is 20 minutes. Here are some pics. Dark green goes amazingly well with my metallic grey paint. 5c28fe4f-4568-261b.jpg

Obviously the flash has made it look gash. But I will take some more pics in the daylight tomorrow. I am going to get more soon for my rear lights.

If you are terrible at applying vinyl then this stuff is for you. It's incredibly easy.

Thanks to who first posted about this stuff. He had a yellow VRs and I copied :)

 • If they can be failed for yellowing then surely to god they should be failed for being green :p That's the towing loop, all the kool kids have them Also was I the only one who thought the mistaken

 • I'm trying to work out how come it says AJ07 KOK on the bonnet - upsidedown!

 • Why is the tow strap on the wrong side of the car? If you attempt to tow the car with that...you'll just rip the bumper off.

I really dont like that sorry. Looks awful and you havent made the best if lines when cutting it have you. If you like it though, thats what matters

Agreed, that badge looks awful!

I'll wait and see what they look like in some day time pictures. iirc that guy with the yellow vrs took them off after posting the thread

As I said. I went a bit overboard tonight. Will give it a couple of days and see how I feel. The flash on the camera has done it no justice whatsoever.

I did it in daytime. I can assure you the headlights and grill badge were carefully done. The interior not so much. :D

Oh Lawd

I never even noticed that untill you pointed it out :D

Yeah it's all down to the flash...... :giggle:

Hutchy if your on about me mine are still on. Been to my mot place and they said they are fine. Must admit upclose they are abit odd but standing distance i think they look good and dont affect your brightness like some film tints. But still i wouldnt go green myself, maybe just on the fogs but not the headlights. Like everything else though its each to there own and if you like them thats all that counts as its your car and no one elses.

inoperative, excessively damaged or deteriorated or has a product on the lens or light source so that the light output is well below that required to illuminate the road ahead

I wonder if the tester would say the same with VOSA on site auditing him? Just a thought.

Either way it's allowing a high percentage of light to pass through the clear section and (assuming the green is at least semi transparent) a lower percentage to pass through with a green tint. If the green sections are solid (anyone remember being on a bus that's got advertising printed on vinyl that's got pinhole's in it?) it's blocking that light reducing in lower light output. Obviously the only two acceptable colours for a headlight are white and yellow, white is quite a subjective colour though and I suspect the small green surface area combined it's translucency make it less noticeable.

Either way i'm not a fan of this but if you like it and don't mind the risk of unwanted attention then it's totally up to you :)

The product on the lens doesnt make the light output below what is required to illuminate the road. This is the thing it will affect it slightly but not enough to fail.

Well it was you who published the photo! Anyway I see no reason for numberplates to be hidden as some people's are. I never hide mine...

In any case now you've published another photos, if you re-read what I posted you'll see I read it wrongly in any case! :hi:

I agree up close they look strange. But from a distance it looks near enough a solid colour. Looks good imo.

Looks awful in my opinion. Also, whats that bit of green plastic hanging off your front bumper?

I'll get my coat.

looks like they left the plastic wrapping on prior to dealer delivery IMO, I'm not into those kinds of mods. But, that said, if you like 'em, leave 'em.

Well i dont no about the green but my black is a solid colour. But i can see what you meen with green, as any thin plastic will let some light through. Thats y i have black as colour is not changed and brightness is still enough for mot rules.

You can please some of the people, some of the time :D

I imagine that a similar effect could be acheived with some 'sticky backed plastic' and some old Quality Street wrappers.

Looks like a great way to get stopped by the Police.

And those towing loops are about as useful as a dog's lead!!
