mdi cable..

Featured Replies

if I buy the micro usb cable and connect to my android platform phone if I get a call will I be able to take the call through the speakers?

Thanks

I'm 99% sure not. Connection via USB will just be to interface with the device's memory, rather than any form of call making/receiving.

100% not.

We have a Parrot Handsfree kit in the Wifes Vrs, when an iPhone is plugged into the Mdi unit and the phone rings the music is muted and we take the call, end the call music returns

It's all done via Bluetooth

I use the AUX port, voice comes from the speakers

You could probably get one of these or similar and plug it in to the line in socket (as described above), but it you'd have to be on line in mode to hear the phone plus it wouldn't really qualify as a safe handsfree option as you'd still be looking at the phone and using the touch screen to make and receive calls. If you are on a budget it's probably best to get a sunvisor mounted bluetooth kit.

Okay thanks for the reply

I'd honestly just buy a bluetooth car kit, worth the money and then you can play music over it too.
