been a while.

The other day my Felicia went for an MOT, bar a few things that I changed (well the guy in the garage did) it passed. Cost £210 including MOT. Was expecting worse. So happy I have another 12 months of the princess (fingers crossed anyway).

Last night, when the rain really started to pelt I put my wipers on, all of a sudden they were really really noisy. They would only go halfway up, hesitate, then go back down. I can hear loud clicking. It happens on all 3 settings.. I have never had a problem with them before, and with this bad weather this is quite dangerous.

Any advice???

Time for a new wiper motor or (more often) linkage. You may get some mileage from removing it from the car and examining the linkage - I have had one Felicia one that was seized (and easy enough to free up, the pivots themselves had seized) and another one that was similar, but replaced it with a brand new one that came with a car I'd bought. They're easy enough to remove and simple enough to fault find without issue - if you remove it from the car and then remove the arm that comes out of the motor to the linkage (one nut and then pull the arm off) then you'll know if it's motor or linkage by trying to move the linkage by hand.
