Does anyone know where I can find the code for my Columbus (factory fitted). I understand that should I have to replace my battery or I get a flat then I will need this code to start the Columbus, is this correct.

No you wont, the code is stored in the instrument cluster. Although it can be, that the unit doesnt react for a while and after a couple of times taking out the key and having a CANBUS idle it will come to life again.

If you really need the code (fe if selling the unit) you will have to ask your dealer with the cars chassis number and the official papers of the car.

you can get the code from a few people on ebay,just got mine done and cost me £50

My dealer has quoted me £20 to retrieve the code (with it fitted to my car).

What was nice was they said they wouldn't charge me if they couldn't get it for some reason.
