Would a green filter offer any improvement or would it just be a waste of money?

Probably not. In fact, I doubt you'd notice a difference even on a remapped car! Most noticeable change is in the induction noise you get, and the length of time before the filter gets clogged up

The real advantage is that it's a cleanable though so it shouldn't need replacing....
