OBD Port?

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

'Scuse the ignorance, but I have a cheap code reader on it's way and was wondering where the OBD port was on an 02 Octavia VRS 1.8T Mk 1 ?

I had a Mv IV Golf last and it was under a slide off panel, under the stereo, but that panel is filled with a solid ashtray panel in the Octy.

I checked the stickies and site resources before posting, but couldn't find anything on this.

Cheers. :)

Is it behind a panel behind the ashtray? If not, suspect there is a panel under the steering wheel area.

Thanks, I'll check both of those leads.

Its in panel directly under steering wheel in the shelf thing

Take care when pushing the plug in, as some cack-handed power-ranger obviously pushed into mine too hard at some point (before my ownership) and as a result the top of the plastic where the socket is seemed to be detached... :@
