Great deal on Crucial M4 256GB SSD

Featured Replies

Just bought my first SSD drive. It's an upgrade for my Thinkpad T500. Cracking deal...

£169.98 from dabs.com using code VOUCHER10

+ 2% quidco brings it down to £166.58.

Nice, I got my first SSD about a year ago.... was a great speed boost for my aging Pentium D. Boot -> desktop should be around 10 seconds or less.

I also have a 750GB sata disk in my desktop which my I have mapped my c:\users\my_account across to so that slows it down a fraction.

The price is coming down.

When I bought my 128gb Crucial M4 last summer I almost paid the sameas you. The 256 gb was about £300.

Yeah, they're finally dropping. I bought a Mushkin 120GB (not 128, randomly) for about £90 a couple of weeks ago, which seemed a reasonable price point to me.

Thanks Nick.

Of course this drive is only running at 50% for you too. Still rapid as ...

Was toying with one of these, this might push me over.

Yeah, I'm chuffed with it. Only thing to bear in mind, this is the 9.5mm one. There is a 7mm variant now which you'll want for the latest very thin laptops. I saw the 7mm one somewhere the other day for just over 170.
