I've been looking into tuning for my 1.4 mpi and I've gotten a lot a of good ideas from posters here on brisky. Just thought i'd ask if I missed something.

Performance filter

Cold air intake

Exhaust

Race cat

Porting

Extractor manifold

Remap

I've also been told that the throttle body from one of the vw golf engines fit and it gives a slight performance boost. I've worked extensively with them but I've seen no proof it this being even remotely possible.

Most of this can be done at our workshop by me and my team. My programmer has a few months to brush up on her mapping skillz now so hopefully the fabia gets a good brainwashing. These mods shouldn't be a problem considering we've done far more extensive repairs and mods. Assuming, we'll get the shop back and don't get arrested, that is. They're already trying to pin a gta charge on me for pinching my car back when they refused a court order. Oh well, I always wanted to publicly discredit these morons. Gonna be fun.

It took me a bit of researching various TB part numbers but pretty much got it done.

The only major adaptation you have to do is take off the intake manifold and do a little grinding out to accomodate (else there's a hideous lip that will make it run like a dog at idle) but apart from that, it's pretty much a bolt-on part.

If you did want this TB sending over... Could do that (at a price), or could just bump you the relevant part numbers - up to you

Hmm, I've got four golfs with various engines at work. One of them might have it. But if they don't, how much would it be mate?

I need the part numbers either way since i can use the VAG database to check digitally instead of ripping the engine apart on all four golfs.

If you bunged me £50 - You could have:

Throttle body

Silicon hose

spare brand new cylinder head (perfect for porting!)

timing chain kit

And i'll chuck in a VRS stock exhaust if you like. It's only eating up space in my garage...

If your gf is making a journey - it'd be silly not to help out a fellow member with as much stuff as i've got lying around going to waste...

I'm still convinced the engine would quite easily break 100hp with the right mods and tweaking of ECU to take said mods into account.

Forget it, mate. Just spoke to Sara, something came up they pushed up the trip. Her sister took off with the lorry last night. Which begs the question why the hell she took the lorry when the original plan was my fabia with a trailer... And how she got a hold of the spare keys, cause I have the originals right here.

Somebody is getting a *******ing tomorrow. I dunno who, but you don't just take off in a lorry without telling anyone. Argh! That family, its like they're bloody Mi6. No sharing of information whatsoever.
