I indicated today and the interior lights were blinking twice as fast as normal - as you normally get when a bulb has gone.

The computer started to tell me to check bulbs - one by one it listed every bulb in the car - helpful!

When I could stop I checked by switching on the hazards.

At the rear the orange lights were permanently on. At the front, and on the door mirrors they were normal.

Tried the indicators in turn and the same result.

An hour later, all was back to normal and no warning light.

Anyone experienced this? I'm going to France in three weeks and could do without any problems.

I had almost identical symptoms a while back and that turned out to be an ECU problem. Once that was replaced, no more problems.

Luckily, mine was in warranty, but it was still a lengthy process. Special leads had to be sent over from Europe to carry out a specific test before Skoda were satisfied that it was the ECU. Once satisfied, there was another delay as there were no replacements in the UK. Replacing it - once it arrived in the dealership - took less than an hour, been fine ever since.

My Octavia did the same thing once. The reason was, that the workshop forgot to do the coding when they fitted the towbar.

By the way, it must be the BCM you´re talking about since that´s the one controlling the lights. Have a spare 1K0 937 087 J if needed.

Damn (and fingers crossed). Warranty expired a month ago

I had this happen to me once, cycling though - showing every bulb to have a problem. Car was only 3 months old. Never happened again in the 3 years I owned the car.

Indicators blinking fast used to be one lamp was us so only had to replace the lamp. Cost a few pence. :wonder:

On the computer display under assisstants Lights & vision is (comf ind) what is it. it is ticked as on.cannot find it in manual.

When it is checked you will get three flashes when you press and release the indicator stalk. If unchecked (off) you only get one flash.
