It's my first time using VAG-COM and I have 3 errors in my car.

18020 - ECU Incorrectlety Coded

17589 - Linear 02 Sensor / Reference Voltage Open Circuit

00301 - ABS Return Flow Pump

Can I fix this problem by myself?

I changed the temp sensor a few months ago with no mess.

Where's the ABS return Flow Pump? It's the ABS Unit? Hope not....

Can I recode my ECU?

I have a Fabia 2001, 1.4, AUB. :)

Thanks!

These could just be logs of momentary faults since you last used vag com. Has the car been driving badly at all? Brakes not up to much? I'm not sure what the O2 sensor is - that something to do with oxygen?

I hope to get VAG com at some stage, but might try and pay for my laptop first, before buying any "accessories" :D

I reset the codes but the errors keep appearing.

Brakes are Excelent! Can be a faulty sensor?

I think the lamda sensor is damaged. Im going to buy a new one.

The problem could be in the wiring, Check the wiring behind the the air filter take the tape off the wiring bundle and check if the wiring is corroded.

This is a common problem with Fabia

I think the lamda sensor is damaged. Im going to buy a new one.

How many kilometers you have with the car?

I also suspect a defective Oxygen Sensor ... When I press acceleration to the ground, 3rd speed for example, there is a low sound coming from throttle valve and the car starts accelerating very slow :(

Thank you

PS: My error is "System too rich"

My car have 83542Km right now. Maybe I need to change the lambda sensor.

Where can I buy it?

I'm going to check the wires but right now I can't. I have to wait for the weekend. Thanks.

I feel my car ok. Accelerates OK. My consuption it's about 43Km/Gl (US Gl)

What about the 18020 - ECU Incorrectlety Coded

and 00301 - ABS Return Flow Pump

Here in my contry it's very expensive to take the car to the Skoda WorkShop.

I need to know if I can get those sensor somewhere. I have mechanical skill.

So I can change it by myself.

Thanks!

IBEXParts in Spain supplies Skoda parts by mail order and you should be able to get a lambda sensor from them. Their site is below:

I think that the first 2 are related, when the fabia first came out on alot of them the air con did not work, the fault which showed was 18020 (to do with the O2 sensor) and would not erase, re-coding the ECU cleared this and got the air con working. At work I have a list of codes for the ECU, need to know petrol/diesel, air con or not and abs or not. Does yours have air con? From your post I know it is 16V petrol with ABS.
