I have put a £250 deposit down in the car and I just joined this forum yesterday and have discovered the failed injectors problem. I read the full skoda service history and I could see no mention of a recall. I really just glanced at it and saw that it had two variable services and it's due its third service now which the independent dealer has agreed to do. How can I find out if my prospective used skoda has been recalled or not and if it is affected? If skoda uk sent out recall letters I'd like to think the one previous owner took it to his skoda dealer to get recall actioned.

I think car I'm getting was registered jan 08 and has 44k miles. Thanks

It's no big deal really as u can get them done anytime after u buy the car, it is a free recall.

They don't tend to write it in the service book but they will have put a sticker on the boot floor with a code on it to say there replaced.

I have an actually printed letter from the dealer that say what was done and when. So perhaps checking if you also have this. if not just get where ever you buying it from to get them done before you buy it.
