HID LIGHT UNITS for MK1 Octavia rs

bought these a while back to do a conversion but a change in circumstances has come about and i need every penny :(

2x vgc units. glass has no big scratches, chips etc. 1 has the backing and 1 hasnt. pics will be put on tonight.

£250 DELIVERED. i paid just over £320 for these plus post

Ballasts? (should be attatched to rear of unit)

And if there xenons if someone wants to upgrade from halogens you need a wiring adaptor available for £60 from kufatec, or if you have skillz can be made up yourself for half of that!

Xenons will go out with main beam but wiring from switch to indicator stalk can be modified to make it work, headlight level motors wont work either but this can be adapted with rewiring the headlight (i havent bothered yet but guide available through a google search - think the forum is ukmkivs)

they are xenon units, not halogen like most vrs cars.

il get pics up tonight, 100% HID lights. its just the light units. i have to move house very quickly and need every penny i can grab for a deposit on a flat :(

second picture shows the black box part missing off the back, is this an ignitor?

Nope these are different to mine the ballast / ignitor is fixed to the back of the black covers in mine, its made of metal! Yours must be from a car with external ballasts

im going to open the one with the cover because its got a voltage warning on the cover and a connector on it so i wonder if its in there.

Yh the ballast bolt onto the back cover plastic thing then they wire to the ignitor wich sits in the Corner of the headlamp with 2 screws then that has a big plug that goes on bck of the d2s bulb!! It's a d2s setup, there should be a rubber gasket round cover so water don't get in on the internal electrics

ahh i see. i bought them to use an aftermarket kit in so ignitors and ballasts come in those kits anyway.

If anyone wants then id let them go for £250 delivered or il just keep and fit at some point

That's it the ballast sits on outside, not an easy item to come accross but u can get them off eBay.de don't have to be Skoda mine are vw ones there the same ignitors are diff but can be modified !
