Skoda Fabia elegance 1.2tsi.dsg. White 2011/12

Featured Replies

Been reading the post on the estate version of this car by FB and i totally agree. Great car but could be better. Niggles armrest gets in the way of seat belt anchor posts, these need to be on flexi longer arms to get around this, i am constantly leaving the handbrake slightly on which sets the alarm because of the armrest again. You could of course tilt it up as FB says but whats the use of having it in the first place if you cant use it as it was intended to be used. As with most auto tip or dsg boxes you should be able to leave in gear at t/lights with the handbrake on to hold the car, forget it the handbrake will not stop the car moving you must hold it on the footbrake, is this normal on all dsg boxes i certainly never experienced this on my last two normal autos Suzuki and Kia sorento. The hill assist can catch you out on hills with traffic lights were traffic is heavy it does,nt have the braking of a standard auto if you are nearly at a stop.Road noise with the 16 elbas can be intrusive god knows what the 17 wheels on the vrs are like, i suspect its a case of looks over practicality .I beleive they have removed parking sensors from the latest 2012 model elegance, its now extra they are brilliant and its a mistake on skodas part.

These are all minor niggles that you get used to and you can drive around, them but skoda should listen and improve the package to remove these problems. The build quality is excellant the engine and gearbox are the best small package i have ever driven and my next car will be the estate version.
