Alright guys,

I had my car de-badged of the "OCTAVIA Vrs" after a respray of the tailgate a while back. Just got around to picking up a replacement and fitted it earlier today.

I'm happy with the position however the more time ive spent looking at it during the day I dont think its quite as straight/level as it should be and its driving my OCD mad!

I was wondering if anyone had fixed any similar situations? I was thinking would heating the badges up with a hair drier cause the adhesive to slacken up a bit to allow me to make some minute adjustments?

Or would i simply be better off taking them off and buying another set of badges :(

I don't think a hairdryer will be enough tbh

You'll need a heat gun. I recon you've got a good chance to be able to warm them ( carefully! ) and nudge them straight because the badges are new - eg the glue hasn't had too long to dry out.

I don't like the mk2 badge. More of a big fan of the mk1 annoying that they changed it.

I managed to heat the badge's up and get them repositioned slightly this morning. I've tried using a spirit level to do so, however given that the boot panel itself Isn't exactly flat makes things a bit aawkward, ive also found that the "VRS" badge has a very slight curve to it, which is less then ideal.

I've had a look throughout the day, and think im fairly happy and going to settle with what I've got

It is not a M2 badge it is a kids joined up writing Facelift badge

I'd have gone stealth and left it off. In fact, I'd probably debadge mine tomorrow, if I wasn't such a lazy git!

Speaking of stealth..

I was driving back home yesterday and a vrs rolled past but in the blue/grey colour the tdi's have. Either it was a look like with everything on it, including the the vrs logo on the grille or a rather good looking respray!

I've had the back end fully badged, with the "vRS" badge only, and then totally plain.

To be honest I think I like the "vRS" only version the best, think the "OCTAVIA" lettering is a bit dull looking and it looks a bit plain totally blank
