DPF sensor replaced under warranty....

Featured Replies

Snowwhite behaved strangely the last few days - no short trips the last 2000 km, but Regen attempted several times and not completed.

Yesterday, the DPF warning light came on and stayed on for 5 minutes, after which the exhaust warning light came on and stayed.

Local Skoda shop analyzed it this morning and replaced the DPF (pressure?) sensor under warranty. Problem apparently fixed and mileage seemingly improved. Talking to the service manager, he stated that they had only replaced one DPF in the three years Skodas had had them, so it does not seem to be a general problem. The sensor was in stock, so presumably a few of those have been replaced.

No squaks or other difficulties with the dealer, and I was out of there in less than an hour.

I know of an A4 that had the same issue about 6 months back. 103kw cr diesel, buit around 2008.

This appeared to be a new one for the techs, first they tried a controlled burn, after that they ordered the sensor.

I had mine replaced at about 35,000 miles , i was experiancing a exhaust fume smell in the cabin especially if i had the heater on Marlborough skoda replaced it under warranty and since then no more issues.

The performance was not impaired or the fuel consumption it was just the smell that indicated something was wrong.
