Another weird question

Hello all

Yet another weird q from me.

I'm looking at buying a 2009/2020 Octavia elegance 1.8 tsi manual.

I've noticed on a few of the pictures something with the top of the gear stick/knob, i.e where the R.1 2 3 4 5 6 is written

In this area, some of the cars I've seen have it in the colour silver.........then others the area is coloured black

And this is all on 2009/10 elegances

Does this different colouring mean anything to the spec. or is it just that some people asked for a silver colour top on their gear knob

I think the newer black top knob came in facelift from 2011> a 09-10 reg should have a silver top as far as I know unless it's the very basic model that just had the black rubber type know with numbers pressed in.

I also noted too - again on facelifted Octavia 1.8 models........................that some of them have TSI written on the back, others dont have TSI written on the back................
