Location of my airbag module

Featured Replies

I have a mk1 vrs Octavia I am trying to locate my passanger airbag module can anyone help

The airbag needs the dash removing to get to it.

The airbag controller sits on-top the central exhaust/prop tunnel, against the firewall.

I am looking for the passanger airbag module

There is only one module that controls both driver and passenger bags.

Oh rite is that the one located in the pic above

yes, its located there as its the least likely area of the car to sustain damage in an impact.

Also controls seat airbags too (if fitted)

The actual airbag is mounted above the glovebox, and fires through the dash facia.

I was under the impression it could be accessed by taking the glovebox out - but not something I've investigate though

Yes, you can...

Disconnect battery

Remove glovebox

Remove airbag unit with carrier (2 screws each side)

Disconnect airbag connector

Remove airbag unit from carrier
