Got my renewal notice through from Bell on my A8, they wanted £400 for the next 12 months. Quick bit of online searching and Admiral, which is part of the same group came in at £295 for the same cover with Business mileage added.

So called Bell, and after speaking to the renewals team in Canada they have beaten the admiral quote and lopped 35% off the originally quoted premium and added the business use. Not bad considering the Audi is Group 20

So, I have continued cover with Bell with Business use added and its costing me £130 less than the original renewal quote. Just goes to show it pays to look around at renewal, which with the number of auto renewing policies these days I wonder how many actually bother.

I think that's what they assume - and they'd be right!

Insurance companies give a decent discount to get people to sign on the dotted line then hope they don't use the comparison sites at the end of the 1st year. Then, they bump up the premium every year and bask in the profits. Simples!
