F#*#*#g multichanger.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have tried an archive search with no luck. The multichanger in my Ambiente works for about one cd, then spits it's dummy, showing "MECHANIC" on the head unit.

Have to remove the disc holder, juggle it about a bit, and then it will work again, for a bit.

Any idea's?

Take it to the dealer....they may say no idea will have a look...

On the other hand mine said that, spent 50 mins on it, fixed it for 5 mins, called back, by which time it had fixed itself again. But it was then said that it's a known issue, oddly enough it was fine for the next 6 months.

I could only conclude moisture / temp variances were to blame, I don't have it anymore though. I think I have seen three or four threads on this, but they may well be archived by now, no harm in begining over :D

Mine did the same plus other assorted faults. It was replaced under warranty.
