Have read the threads on coil packs etc.the octy vrs has started misfiring and the cel light is flashing.checked the coil types and they are H type,im booked into the dealer for this under warranty tomorrow.Im i right in saying the dealer should replace all four as this is instructed by skoda or im i wrong.

Just needed to know before i send the octy in for this.

When I had my coilpacks go (one at a time that is) my dealer stated that my car had the latest model of them anyway(think it was an 'L' prefix but may be wrong). They said that SKODA UK would only authorise them to replace the individual one that was faulty as they were not accepting that there is a problem persay with the coil packs any more, only those found to be still fitted with old ones which they 'accept' are faulty by design would they replace all 4.

Just thought i'd add my two-penneth.

Maybe it depends on how much the dealer values you I guess.

When I had one give up my nearest dealer changed all 4 with no hassle. Dealer also insisted I use the AA cover to get the vehicle to them rather that drive it myself. Not bad service considering I had never used them before.
