Featured Replies

hey all thought i would join up as was looking for a vrs to replace my 1.4 clio but have now been reading up on the 4x4 which once remapped seem just as good ive had fast cars before e.g civic type r, toyota celica gt4, subaru impreza and then for some reason ended up with a clio in a bid to save money which im doing but miss the power and its a bit small for my liking so are these 4x4 as good as they seem thanks for any views

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello and welcome, drop your question in the relevant Octavia section where you will get a better response.

Yes Octavias are great, but if you want performance, you want a VRS. and remap that.

The standard VRS (180hp) does not feel that fast in my opinion, but once remapped is a scorcher (my VRS was stock until 2 weeks ago, and now on approx 210hp, so Cupra R levels of power).

The 4x4 is IIRC only the 150hp version of the 1.8T, so I'm not sure what it will go to on a remap. But I'm sure if a remapped 4x4 was a "VRS killer", plenty of people would be talking about it on here, which I don't see.

Welcome
