vRS driving school..

Featured Replies

hello all, I'm relatively new here (hope I've posted this in the right place!)

I've just ordered a new Furby vRS which I'm going to use as my driving school car (and fun for me of course!) If any of you have friends or relatives wanting to learn to drive in this fabulous car, please e-mail me and call!

[email protected]

I work Sheffield, Worksop, and Chesterfield.

I'm also an ORDIT registered instuctor trainer, so If you are thinking about a new career, give me a ring ;)

note: I saw a post from an instructor who uses a vRS for teaching, (but can't find it again!) If you read this, please reply and let me know if the car has been good for you, and if you've had any problems with it at all!

(anyone wanna buy my C2GT?)

I am not looking for a career - however if i see you in Sheffield / Chesterfield i will have to give you a wave (black furby vRS).

Where did you get your car from out of interest !?

cheers andy, give me a flash! I ordered the car from the skoda/mitsubishi dealership, in Chesterfield, just off the huge roundabout, where the dualcarrigeway goes up to sheffield.... hasn't arrived yet, he said about two weeks, mine will be black too... (have'nt seen many black ones around..)

it was me who used to teach in a vrs. dual mass flywheel failed at 9000 miles and was replaced under warranty but when GORNERS(hate them) put it back together it made a slight tinkling noise when slipping the clutch. when i reported back to GORNERS they wanted me to sign a disclaimer that if they found anything that a learner might have damaged i would agree to pay. i of course refused to sign and drove off in a huff. i continued to teach in the vrs for about 30k but never was happy. so decided to trade it in. when i came to trade it in i was offered peanuts for it because when enquiries where made they said there was a known fault on the gearbox. obviously made known by GORNERS. anyway i ended up trading it for a new ibiza 130 fr. i feel the 3 dr. to be easier to teach in. less pillars in the way. but the vrs was i nice car to drive and if they ever bring a 3 door out i might buy another. but not from GORNERS.

Tom.

Gordon Lamb look after there own customers ok. I used to work there and they were a good bunch (all left now) but i couldn't get the deal i wanted with them, so went to Clock in Sponden. They were great with sales and aftersales as i had to have my back box replaced within 2 weeks of delivery. I tried to take it to lambs but they told me to take it to where i got it from !!

Shame about Gorners though, they seem like real ****s !!!

Tom: sorry to hear that , they dont seem to have looked after you very well at all! the warranty work should be done irrespective of whether it was driven by learners or not! my current C2 had a "noise" from the gearbox, and cirtoen did a rebuild without any hesitation, drives as new now, hope I get better after sales service than you did. was it a 2004 or after car? because they have a different gearbox after 2004.... maybe that one is stronger...

Andy: well they seem like a good bunch to me, hope they look after me nicely if I do need any warranty work doing!

it was one of the older boxes 53 reg. the ibiza now with the same engine will pull happily in 5th @ 30 mph. Tom.
