im confident its a glow plug or heater plug(whatever its called)

defo not my brakelights....i read that its glowplugs

I'd take the advice you've been given. Glow plugs very rarely go wrong and are pretty bullet proof, Fabias with 300,000 can still be on original glow plugs... But how many bulbs will that car have gone through?

Your right in thinking it's the glow plug light on your dash. It often comes on when a fault with the electrical side of the brakes has happend, usually it's only a fault bulb or brake switch. Double check these before you go Replacing glow plugs.

Both my Brake Lights bulbs blew at the same time and I got the Glow Plug indicator showing.

Replaced both bulbs and all was OK.

Your right. All my brake lights are off. How do I fix the switch?

Replace it, it's located under the pedal.

Anyone got a pic of where it is so I can fix it

Just to add, I had this issue and it was the Glow Plug in Cylinder 1.

Shouldn't laughter but reminds me of my old pug 407 diesel.

Using indicators used to make the brake light fault message come up and using the brakes used to make the indicator fault message come up.

Reminds us to ignore the car and take advice....

He fix that old French piece of sh!te was give it extra earth leads.

When one of my glow plug went it was the engine management light that came on.
