Can't find any easy to get power cable from engine bay to boot

Can any one show me how you've done yours?

there are two plastic grommets in the spare wheel well which will lead to behind the rear.bumper. you can then either run back along under the car to the engine bay. or up to the rear light cluster.

there are some pics in my build thread where ive hooked up a varex exhaust. might be useful for you.

running a live power cable underneath the car should be avoided unless there's no other option, and if so, must be well secured and insulated against heat/stones,etc.

I have 12awg speaker cables running both sides of the sills, as well as a thick rca, remote wire, bass remote lead and 4awg power cable. how thick is your cable?

OT - How much was the Varex and where did you get it from?

about 300 once you get shipping included. got it from new zeland!

I have a vrs

In the engine compartment if you look at the right hand side of the bulkhead separating the engine compartment from the inside of car you should find a rubber plug, low down.

When this plug is removed pull back the carpet and sound deadening and push from the engine compartment a thin screw driver through the hole left by the plug.

This should come out in the footwell.

A cable can then be concealed uder the plastic trim all the way to the boot.

Good luck

You can get little grippy feet or screw a hook into the box and attach to the bracket that seats go into in the middle. Also I'd advise running the power cables on different side to RCA cables as you can get interference unless you got shielded cables.

All wired up dosnt really move with out. A good push so should be ok.

Just tie it down using themetal hoops/rings on the side of the boot, use velcro or make a false floor and cut out a section for the box.

I had mine on the right hand side, i found it sounded better behind the driver.

Yes, I too ended up going the hole with the bonnet catch, hell of a job getting the inner grommet out to get the new cable through - took hours just to get through the 2 bulkheads :(
