What dealership is best?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am about to take the plunge for a new Skod. I live in the south east of England and would be interested to hear personal opinions about the best dealership experiences. e.g. based in Kent, Sussex, Surrey. This will help me make the decision who gets my hard earned bucks.

Cheers

The two that often get high praise on here are Allams in Surrey and Preston Motors in East London. Both forum sponsors.

I've bought from and had a good experience from both.

I now personally favour Preston Motors as I've bought more vehicles there and have a very good working relationship with them, after James left Allams they have been much more quiet on the forum. Oddly that was about the time Preston Motors joined the sponsors and Lee has been quite helpful.

Why not shop around and see who can give you the best deal? I'm sure if some dealers haven't hit their targets you will probably get a better deal.

Thanks for the responses. Its not so much about the buying experience, its more about the aftersales and support going forward. I have had some not too pleasant experiences with servicing and repairs in the past. Quite common I would guess.

BossFox - I will check out the ones you have suggested.

Great, thanks (new member - still finding my way around the forum)

I live in Surrey, but bought my vRS at West Sussex Skoda in Worthing. Very friendly and not pushy.

Live on Surrey/Hants border, have used Station Garage, Ewhurst for service in past, were ok for service and warranty issues, although I didn't, buy from them not very keen to do a deal. Currently using Garlands in Aldershot for service seem ok, and know their stuff.

Again didn't, buy from them brought both Westover in Dorset were keen to do a good deal.

Went to Caffyns Tunbridge Wells at the weekend. Was recommended by a neighbour. Very friendly, seem to know their stuff even when I asked a couple of obsure questions. Got a test drive immediately. Just waiting to see what package they can put together.

If not will start going around all of your suggestions. As long as I can tie a deal up by the end of June, I will be happy.
