followed by a 911 Turbo 4WD IMG_3477.jpg

and then a Nissan GTR P1010551.jpg

The day (at Prestwold Hall) culminated in being shown "how to do it" by a guy dressed as the Stig in a Vauxhall VXR P1010327.jpg

Driving the Porsche was quite special, as it had been a dream car of mine whilst growing up. The Nissan GTR however was abosultely mind blowing, managing to be both devastatingly fast and relatively easy to drive. Definitely having one of these if my numbers come up!

I ended the day with a brief test drive in my local Skoda dealers Citigo. Its a fully loaded green 3 door Elegance 75BHP with the stick on satnav/display thingy, panoramic roof, collision mitigation and "greentech". It is surprisingly roomy and drove well. The new 3 pot engine certainly is a marked improvement over the last 3 pot petrol I drove (1.2 HTP).

My Wife and Son did the Everyman day out, they both did the Lambo. They then did the Atom and was surprised when they were undertaking the other cars, my Wife couldnt stop jibbering, my Son was so excited he never stopped smiling for hours.

That looks great. Where is it held? I have been driven around Silverstone in an Xbow like the white car in the last photo and it flew past Astons and Ferraris. I would choose that and the 911.

It was Prestwold Hall. I've done a few days there in the past - road/rally, aston martin day and supercar challenge.

The Xbow looked an impressive piece of kit and everyone I spoke to said the passenger laps were awesome.

I fancied a roof over my head, so elected for the VXR for my passenger laps.

I'm pretty sure I must have been the only person to drive a Roomster, a 911 and a Citigo all on the same day!

The GT-R is amazing. I loved driving one at Driveme. Glad you had fun! Favourite..?

Definitely the GTR - hugely fast, yet still easy enough to drive on a day to day basis for mere mortals. The lambos / ferraris of this world are just too involved (and wide!!) to contemplate driving on a daily basis.

The GTR is also a relative bargain at ~£70K

Oh and the Citigo was pretty impressive too :giggle:
