P0471. Few Questions. HELP !

Featured Replies

Been a while since i have been on, my apologies.

2007 VRS TDI PD engine with Shark map and DPF removal.

Engine managment light is on and the fault code P0471 exhaust pressure sense showing.

The car runs fine and even when the error is removed the light comes on a few hours later.

First question is: is it possible to get this error code with a DPF delete. i presumed this would have been mapped out when it was remampped and the DPF removed.

Secondly, where abouts is the sensor located, i plan on removing and replacing it myself.

Thridly, whats the cost involved in a new VAG sensor.

A lot of questions i know but this would be a great help.

The G450 sensor is probably faulty. Here is the Ross-tech entry http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/16855/P0471/001137

The sensor will not have been removed, but it is no longer a criteria for a DPF regen. If in doubt, contact Shark.

IIRC, the sensor is just under £50.

Dont quote me but i thought if you had a dpf removal and map it made the dpf pressure sensor redundant, Best thing to do is give Ben a ring at shark as he will be more able to tell you.

I agree with ^^^ if you have had DPF removed then you should not get the above code
