Carbon Fibre Wingmirrors?

Featured Replies

Anyone know where i can get some?? Not your standard tacky crap, but proper carbon fibre housings like the originals

Nope but... 1) will cost the earth 2) Can get 99.9% of the effect with a carbon like fabric or transfer that won't 3) cause heart failure when some chav (sorry ned) idiot manages to smash one trying for a miracle gap.

The originals have quite a bit of detail inside - clips etc. Could be entertaining to reproduce in CF. I do hate the CF effect sticky back plastic though.

I was just wondering because this shape of wing mirror has bee produced by VAG for at least 16 years (as my mates P reg A3 has them) I wouldve thought some different alternatives would be about. I know you can get the chrome effect ones, like an S3, but i would rather carbon fibre.

nah not keen on that, found a company that will carbon skim the old ones. Like vinyl wrapping but with proper carbon fibre and resin

Bit pointless isnt it? Might as well get some **** hot carbon wrap? (not the cheap crappy ebay stuff)

^what he said.....or not do it !

personally not a fan of mirror changes carbon red or chrome

get some new polo ones with the indicators in, they're pretty nice
