Roof Rail Covering gone missing

Featured Replies

Looked at the car today and the rear right section of the roof rail cover has gone walk-about. Anybody else had this problem?

Doubt if I could get the Retailer to replace it free - only done 1400 miles since December!!

Yes, Sandy, there was another contributor to this list who had the plastic bit at the end which just clips on, fall off,or else it came away in his hand.

Mine, too, give the impression of being weakly pressed on.

I don't know how to search on here, but surely you'd be able to find it somehow.

(suggestion - ask Johann - he is able to work wonders with the search engine bless him!,)

EDIT............

PS - Guess what - I followed the link above, and lo and behold there's the thread. Seems that a few have been thus afflicted. Perhaps Skoda oughta take note.

Seems you're safe this time, Bob - LG's on holiday....

wanna bet! Bob, warning 1

After a bit of argy bargy with the dealer, the dealer fixed my missing plastic roof rail bit with some other remedial work on warranty for free, after quoting £20 odd.

Maybe take 'em off and glue them? What's the best adhesive? Superglue?

Surprised the dealer wanted to charge for it, mine didn't mention cost, they just replaced it.

I suspect a squirt of Bostick Clear should work.

Duct tape comes in both black and silver :giggle:

My dealer did the same under warranty when mine flew off too.
