What is she worth

Featured Replies

Thinking of selling up. I fancy a Leon FR but need to work out how much the vrs is worth.

I've had her 2.5 years and in that time its had new discs and pads all round, SMF clutch conversion and all the mods in my sig. 100k on an 02 plate, also had a new front bumper and is really good condition.

What do you think she worth then? I'm a freedom member and if I decide to sell will start a for sale thread.

Cheers guys

Mike

I know's she won't be worth much, but I think cars that have been well looked after are few and far between

£2.5k to 3k to the right person

imo this is a lovely car and very well looked after and driven like a granny so youknow its not thrashed lol

it is a nice car, but the age nor the mileage is on your side, from experience i would say the mods ad no value, infact they put a lot of people off, take them off and put back to stock, the car i recon is about 1.8k-2k give or take..

it sucks..

you can get your money back by putting back to stock and selling the mods.

true mate, can't really be bothered stripping bits off though, it's a well sorted stage 1 car, would like to see it go to someone who'd appreciate what's been done. You ain't wrong either Clive, I'm too tight to thrash it

Need to get saving :bandit:

The mods aren't that extensive, and are probably what most vRS enthusiasts would do anyway

One other thought is, don't mention the mods at all unless someone asks, if you sell it on Autotrader ;)

That's my thinking mate, would save someone a stash of cash getting one already done. If only it worked like that.........

I bought a Silver 02 VRS with 88k and a FSH 6 weeks ago for £1,870. It was up for £2k and I haggled to £1,850, but we eventually agreed on the extra £20 as the car had half a tank of fuel in it.

Hopefully this will give you an indication. Mine was bought in the North East where cars can sometimes go for a little less than in other parts of the country, but only by maybe 5% or so.

Around the 2k mark i'd say fella. Yellow probably brings the value down as well unfortunately.

+1

I am starting to think about asking this question myself :( I've always wanted a ford capri...now i can afford one (if i sell my car) as the insurance is reasonable.

i bought one 2 weeks ago in silver fsh, and payed £2600 ish it had 77k on the clock.

I'd put it up for £2300. Room for negotiation then when the hagglers come knocking.

Decisions decisions, should I sell her and buy an 08 Leon Cupra 240? It's a fair bit cheaper to insure, quicker and looks more modern. Why can't I stop looking at new toys?

I keep thinking same as i've had mine a couple of years and keep looking at track dedicated toys and thinking about selling up and buying a tow car instead but i've had a diesel and never got on with it
