Fabia VRs Diesel engine management light for fuel sensor

Featured Replies

HI, I'm new to this, I have a 2005 VRs diesel Fabia, recently the engine management light came on whilst driving and has stayed on, no drop in power or any difference to how the car drives. I took the car to a mates garage and plugged it in, It came up as fault with the fuel sensor. Any ideas about to what to do, how easy to replace?

Have searched previous topics and cant' find any previous posts about this.

Much appreciated for any help

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello and welcome, sorry cant help with your problem but a search or new thread in the fabia section should quickly point you in the right direction.

It doesn't have a cheap £20 eBay chip does it? This bypasses the fuel sensor, after a while the ecu thinks theirs something a miss. If not then the sensors easy to get at. Front of the cylinder head.

It is all original factory parts, bought it off a main dealer with one lady owner so can't imagine any cheap parts have been put in and I haven't changed anything e.g remapped etc. The old girl has been a work horse and is clocking 110K but apart from a light being on the dash she drives exactly the same? how easy are they to replace? Is it as simple as asking for a fuel sensor from dealer? How much are they? Has anyone got any pics and any specialist tools to change?
