K.E.S.SY,

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I'm totally new to this `Forum` game so I'm just finding my way around.

I think I can just ask questions and maybe get a few responses. I'm hoping so anyway. (as long as anyone is there of course!!!)

Anyway...my question is: Does anyone have any experience and opinion on the K.E.S.SY. system on the Superb?

Thank you.

What would you like to know? I've had my superb with KESSY for 8 months now and its not failed to operate once, unlike the blue oval version ;-) it would be nice if you could fold the mirrors as soon as you "locked" the car with touching the door handle, it doesn't even seem to get confused if the wife has her key in her handbag and opens the passenger door before I open the drivers door and again unlike the blue oval it hasn't let me lock my keys in the boot :-)

Thank you, Briskodian.

I'm reassured that you have experienced no problems with the keyless entry side of things. What about the button start. Am I correct in thinking that you have to push it twice in order to start? I had a Jag XF last year and on that it was only necessary to push the button once.

btw its Tim.

To start you have to depress the clutch, just calling names hasn't worked yet so I put my foot on it  and press the start button (on the side of the steering column) until the engine starts. If you just want to turn the ignition on you just press and release. Pop along to the Superb II forum for links to the current handbook.

Thank you for this, Tim.

Love the levity.

I know this is gonna sound thick...but then again thats what I am...but how do I find this Superb II forum?

Thanks.

Mike.

Talking of mirrors (as you were earlier, Tim) I am waiting for an Elegance and it does have folding mirrors. Am I able to fold them in while I'm still in the car, with the engine running, ready to drive into my garage?

Thanks.

Mike.
