Featured Replies

is it time to let it go ..... ?

my little truck only does around 6 miles a day to and from work , last mot cost me £80 only but its starting look a bit shabby on the body work . few cracks in the fiberglass and rust coming through in a few places .. so wanted get it fully respayed once all the work had bin done . but now im not sure with the engine probs !! help me out someone and give me the drive to sort my little fun out so its not an other one on the scrap pile ...

cheers ric

Mine gets this from time to time, are you sure it oil / water emulsion ??, mine is more like a waxy type of thing, several friends have said it's just condensation from short runs,

i was hoping someone would say somthing like this ! so its not a myth then ? iv heard some beather caps can do this but didnt know if the fun had this type ? anyone ?

As Daisy says, could well be from the short runs. Give it a clean and then go for a proper run, let it get warmed up properly - 6 miles isn't long enough for the oil to get up to temperature (unless it's 6 miles flat out!).

Hi fellow Funster. You haven't mentioned aspects such as mileage and whether or not you're losing any coolant etc. From what you've described Iike others I suspect you're suffering from short journey syndrome. Longer runs should progressively do the trick & I'd encourage you to do the necessary as in my opinion it's worth keeping as many Fun's as possible on the road

......yeah. please keep them on the road. Only enough room on my drive for mine and Nelly. ;)

Sounds about right to me.

......although it also looks like Daisy's getting teccy now :o :o ;)

Damn right I am, I'll be explaining how to change the limited slip diff clutch prop shaft crown gear hub bearing caliper servo slave potentiometer next :giggle:
