I've got the electronics guys at work building me a VAGCOM interface. Being as they are they want to make it all singing all dancing with LED's to indicate all sorts of things.

They've asked if the I/O voltage is 5 volt or 12 volt??

Phil, just had another Google and according to Andy Whittaker's page (here) says it's 12V - look under Flavours and it's in the last but one paragraph....

I reckon 5V as it will run on the serial port without added PSU. But don't take my word for it, look here instead.

Yep they are Will mean you won't be able to use the newer version of VAG-COM (restricted to v311.2 like me but it does everything I want it to ) but for the price you're getting it made up, you'll not be complaining
