Wet sand is quite slippy as I found out!

Featured Replies

Heading phone (gently....) from work and the gales today had blown most of Exmouth beach on to the road, so I thought as a test I'd see just how slippy it was. So, with a nice bit of room, no traffic anywhere, tried a dab of handbrake. Yep, not much grip. Decided to back off and get oppo on sharp'ish, so is not as dramatic looking footage as it could have been with me facing the wrong way, on my DR400G. :D

Maybe Darude and Sandstorm playing on the radio also made me do it. ;)

Looks like you have had a little bit of a breeze down there today!!

Yep, wet sand can be very slippy, which people don't think about at times.

Blowing a right hooly (sp?) it was! Had a good view from the office of the rough sea, and it breaking over the sea wall at high tide!

more speed and turn the wheel before you use the hand brake will do the trick lol.great summer we are having in the uk

Dry sand can be slippy too as my clenched arse cheeks proved when I spun up the rear tyre on my motorbike exiting some roadworks.
