Remote locking stopped working any ideas?

Hi i have just replaced the standard 202 head unit on my 2002 Fabia classic combi sdi for a non standard LG MP3 bluetooth cd player it was a straight forward install using an adaptor. i just come to lock the motor after finishing and the remote central locking is not working.

Does the remote locking link into the old head unit? or have i blown something ?I tried both keys nothing?

Any suggestions please folk?
