Hi guys,

I changed my panel filter for an itg one (2006 TFSI VRS) this afternoon and on reassembly forgot to reconnect the MAF sensor (like an extreme tool) and now the EML is on. I've reconnected it and the car drives absolutely fine but the light won't go off. Will it clear its self or need clearing by VCDS?

Should go by itself after a few restarts, but the fault code will remain.

Thanks for the reply. I've only driven about 3 miles since so I don't think I have given it enough time but I will go for a hoon tonight

Its the number of restarts, not the distance thats important. I believe its five or six or thereabouts before the car assumes the fault has cleared.
