Electric mirrors & Central Locking,

98 Skoda pickup,with Mk2 front doors....Central Locking/Electric mirrors.

I have the original door cards from the doors including the mirror switch on drivers door & all looms inside the doors to the point it hits the trucks footwell

As the pickup loom doesnt have this to plug in to what are my best options for wiring this up,

Central Locking wires/Blue/Brown/White/Black/Yellow.

Electric Mirror Wires/Green/Grey/Black/Green/White.

These come together in a 12 pin plug in the footwell.

The pickup has the same electrics as the car. The loom connectors are hidden behind the plastic panels in the footwells. If you have the original connector, it will fit in one of those sockets. The mirrors will 1/2 work when connected........the heating needs the rear heater dashboard switch and the relay in the fusebox (although some pickups had that anyway for some reason). The switches are colour coded, but you'll have to take the black section of the dashboard out to fit it. (The green socket will be just floating behind the dashboard.) The movement part of the mirrors should work with ignition on, without any 'extra' wiring......on the assumption you've got/want heated mirrors. (pull the glass out of one carefully. Wires to the back of the glass = heated)

Central locking will require a loom and control unit. The loom fits into a connector located behind the lower central part of the dash. (disassembley rarely required) the other end usualy screws to a bracket behind the instruments where you'd locate the control module. I have seen the control units on eBay from time to time.
