Just wanting to know if anyone else has seen this before or knows what it is?

Basically went to check the oil on my Mk1 Fabia VRS and just under the filler cap there's some lumpy, almost grease like slop. I've no idea what this is?

Any ideas what this is?

Is the oil in the sump the same? Its nothing to worry about on the cap, it happens with short journeys, the oil is pressurised and pushed up, then residue settles in the cap, worth wiping it away, and poss doing an engine flush at next change.

Its not white is it?
