Hi can anyone help I have a 2001 fabia 1.4 classic the odometer and clock / mpg are missing LCD digits, was thinking about a second hand speedo but will it work I'm my car, I read somewhere the immobiliser unit is in the housing and would need to be coded to my car anyone know if that's the case or not

Sorry, stupid question but it's a possibility. Are you wearing any kind of polarising glasses, either sunglasses or glasses with special lenses, as these could make the LCD panel appear in such a way.

As you said, the immobiliser is inside the dash panel and would need to be recoded.
