Just put down a deposit :)

Featured Replies

I have just put down a deposit for a CitiGo.

Im expecting her in late September time :) and boy am i looking forward to it :D

She will be my third skoda, and at that my third car. Im going for a 3dr 75PS Elegance Greentech in Pearl Black. Skoda at Beadles said its the highest spec'ed on they've seen so far (out of 10 in the first week). Despite this to insure it (Group 1E) and to pay the finance it will still be around the same price as my insurance alone on my Y reg 1.4 mpi fabia.

I love how cheap the insurance is! even at 19, in comparison to other cars :D

Beadles at Aylesford by any chance?

Order the same, what options you got?

Salesperson said around 14 weeks for me (beginning of september)

Yes at aylesford :)

Yea Charles Said to me around september but ive requested it comes a bit later to coincide with my car insurance. In terms of extras well, its the elegance with nearly all optional extras except the summer pack (but I do have sunset Glass), smokers pack, spare wheel and the extended warranty's.

Came to a little bit over of £11k

nice :) i just ordered my fabia monte carlo from there with clive, charles was nice too, they quoted me 12-15 weeks for my car but looking like 8ish, also when they say they will keep you updated on your car they do, i had a call today exactly two weeks from order to update me with news but also said they would update even if its to say no news :) id looked at the citigo but the no vat on the fabia swayed me as its the car i wanted deep down

i looked at citigo due to economy and price,

then saw i could get a greenline fabia for not much more on pcp due to the no VAT and better fuel economy and quicker delivery

if the offer had not been on i would have ordered one of the 75ps greenline citigo's</p>

11k for a citigo wowi though it was a economical car

Yeah same mine hopefully at the beginnin of september to coincide with my insurance,

I got the summer, entertainment & convenience packs just over 11 but came to just under 10.500 with my part ex

I did consider that, but i felt that yes it is expensive at £11k but you do get ALOT of extras for that price, i doubt you can get a fabia to similar spec for the same deal. I might do a part ex on my old 2001 1.4 mpi fabia but skoda said they would give me only £120 for it as scrap value, but if i repaired the window regulator they would give me £300. I feel i can get about £600 for it once the window regulator is done.

yep, give it a good clean and polish, if the wheel trims are damaged get a set from argos (£25-20) and in general make the car look presentable as you would expect if you were looking to by it

bit of elbow grease, polish, back to black etc does wonders

As bluecar1 found with my 51 reg ka... Polish and good clean it's surprising what can be done I was offered 400 for mine which is higher then the 200-300 quoted elsewhere :)

and i have the muscle to prove the polish ands back to black was done ;(

Well done Taylor,

Will be a nice car for you,

Your Fabia has got to be worth what you paid for it as it did sound perfectly ok on Sat eve, jusyt get you window sorted, and the put it in the For Sale section on here, as a cheap runaround.

yea im not a freedom member yet, ill have to wait until payday as im tight on money before i can put it up for sale on here, im picking up the window regulator today from skoda and then me and a colleague are gonna have a go at fixing it this week. Im also gonna try and get my hands on some wheel trims too. I would like to atleast get £600 for the car but £700 would be nice. Although Im not sure if that price is too high

Just been given the date of the 20th August :D could even arrive earlier than that too! :D

You'll wait for a 62 plate though?

Mine is due to be built last week of August and arrive mid-September.

Sounds like we have ordered a similar spec too.

Elegance (5 door though) with all the options other than the sunroof.

not its supposed to arrive around the 20th august, i asked and they said no, not sure how to force their hand asuch to get it to be a 62 otherwise its gonna be a 12 plate :(

My dealers contract says once they have the car and have notified you it is ready for collection, it must be within 10 days. I'm after a 62 plate on mine, so hope it's no earlier than end of August. They did quote mid to late Sept though.

Yea they said to me initially that the lead time is mid September, now its come to it, its actually closer to mid/end of august.

I would go on the missing list holiday until the 1st September if it was a week or so before and they were being awkward.

Look and see if there is a maximum registration period.

I always tell my dealer that I don't want delivery before a certain date. That's how we got the two Yetis on the 1st March.

Think you have to fill in the paperwork and sign to get it registered to you.

No way would I want a new reg number that's old in a week or so, despite what people say it will effect the resale value a bit. But that's my opinion.

Well i will have to think about it, as im on a finance deal, i will try to get around it, tbh i really dont want a 12 plate and would prefer a 62 plate. just ive sorta put my foot in it saying im working throughout august. I know this is going to sound pathetic but i dont really want to make any hassle but i know what i want :/

Erm hello

My car is sposed to be at dealer end of the week, but she said if i wanted to wait for 62 1st september i could, this is at Crawley Down Group Skoda at Crawley Down, she's really good :)

Chris

They just need to tell Skoda that the customer didn't want the car before a certain date when it was ordered.

But some dealers are more helpful than others, which is why I use the one I do. Who just happens to sponsor this forum. :)

To be honest, I did tell skoda i wanted it after a certain date, seems like beadles isnt the best dealer around

Not Happy!

Skoda called me today saying that the car is ready, i simply there and then said no, i will not accept it!.

I requested prior to even putting down the deposit that It is to be delayed until 1st September, but that seems to have fallen on deaf ears at beadles, All they seem to care about is getting sales in August. At the end of the day I cant take the car as i have an agreement with my insurance company that if I get the car no earlier than 1st sept then they can give me a great deal on the insurance. I have told them this but they obviously dont care.

I have so far put down a £300 deposit on the car, and ive told them im willing to walk away all because i will loose more than that on the value of the car in 3 years time because its a 12 instead of a 62, simples.

Shocked that Beadles have gone completely against my wishes!!! :o

im currently awaiting response, if they dont give me what i want, i may be £300 out of pocket, but atleast i wont be paying nearly 8K over the next 3 years on a car i wasnt happy with.

Perhaps Skoda at Sherlodge are worth trying, so far every time ive been there ive had a much better service from the dealer.

I will prevail, i wont be beaten!
