Just put down a deposit :)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

New member here after a test drive yesterday I have gone for a 3dr elegance 75ps greentec in silver which is one of the showroom models, fingers crossed will be ready for me on Tuesday and I can't wait :)

i am shocked at that, as the dealings i have had with beadles have been excellent, been in today over a paint issue, booked in next week to be sorted

my dealings in the past with sherlodge was not good when we bought our mk1 vrs, went back for 1 service and then vowed never to go back, abosolutely bare minimum done,

Not Happy!

Skoda called me today saying that the car is ready, i simply there and then said no, i will not accept it!.

I requested prior to even putting down the deposit that It is to be delayed until 1st September, but that seems to have fallen on deaf ears at beadles, All they seem to care about is getting sales in August. At the end of the day I cant take the car as i have an agreement with my insurance company that if I get the car no earlier than 1st sept then they can give me a great deal on the insurance. I have told them this but they obviously dont care.

I have so far put down a £300 deposit on the car, and ive told them im willing to walk away all because i will loose more than that on the value of the car in 3 years time because its a 12 instead of a 62, simples.

Shocked that Beadles have gone completely against my wishes!!! :o

im currently awaiting response, if they dont give me what i want, i may be £300 out of pocket, but atleast i wont be paying nearly 8K over the next 3 years on a car i wasnt happy with.

Perhaps Skoda at Sherlodge are worth trying, so far every time ive been there ive had a much better service from the dealer.

I will prevail, i wont be beaten!

Wonder if they have got those 12 plates on yet?

Ive just returned from Skoda right this second. I saw the car, it was a 12 plate, but they said that that will be now sold to a different person, as my car will now be coming in on the 1st September, this also means that the new car will be a 62 plate :D, Its amazing what a very strong worded email and threats of walking out of the deal can do :)

So now i am a very happy person :)

Yes very difficult situation for you but being strong and maybe pulling out of the deal has worked.

Same situation happened to me but over a secondhand car two years ago. I should have walked away and argued about getting my deposit back as they couldn't supply a part I wanted to go with the car (that's a long story)

The only reason I eventually drove the car away was the fact that it had been registered in my name, taxed and had a number plate change ready for me. They had me by the proverbials really, but would have been interesting had I had walked away on the deal as it was they had who defaulted with it.

Good result, but it shouldn't have to come to that, I told my dealer when I placed order and put down deposit that I will not want it till September, and that's what will happen
