:confused: Am currently looking at some rather nice Lexus rear lights, before you shout chav, they aint the shiny chrome bling type, there a rather subtle set of blacked out ones, which i think will suit my Blk Octy.

But the question is it says on the ebay site upto 2001? I didnt realise there had been a change in the octy until 2004 - please stop me from buying something that wont fit (2days to go).

Mines a Y plate reg july 2001.

The Octy was face lifted in 2001..... if u look at old ones compared to newer one lights went clear optics at front.... and "dimond optics" at the rear and new dash............... BUT!... physically lights shape didnt change so it should pose no problem..... but dont hold me to my word!

Go to a dealer if you can and have a look at pre and post 2001 models to set your mind at rest. Failing that, if in doubt don't buy.

I think the wiring to the lights and bulb placement is also different as the earlier ones function slightly differently.

Think i may have to give this a miss, as am at work for the next few days. Maybe if i post a link it may help.......

The older Octavia has wiring for 5 individual bulbs in each rear light. They combined the tail light bulb with the fog light when they facelifted it.
