I was going to say, have you got the pics muddled, ie should be plain to grooved, but it looks like grooved to plain. I would have thought grooved discs would give you better performance, than plain, (apart from the noise it makes).

I hope it is a photoshop pic as it almost looks like you've taken an angle grinder to them and grown the grooves off the the discs.

Its 288-312 brakes mate
