It's a gas strut like the ones on the tailgate. The clever bit is the bracket the Jason designed and had made.

Is it brand new or been used? Also what colour is it? Any pics?

Will take it for £30 posted if its black or silver?

The gas strut is black, as they all are. It has been used. The bracket has been painted with black Smoothrite, but could probably do with a repaint anyway, but you don't see much of the bracket anyhow. I haven't taken any photos, because it just looks like any other Devonutopia bonnet lifter and I am sure that there are plenty of photos of them on here

And if anyone misses out on said strut....

They do get scratched when fitting and extracting, but as said, you don't see what gets scratched until you remove it again. I ensure paint finish is all over top notch though.
